The AFPA Trust’s Summer Drinks Networking Event, held on July 3rd at the prestigious Home House private members club, was a resounding success. The event brought together one hundred professionals from across the asset finance and leasing industry for an afternoon filled with networking, industry exchange, and charitable giving.
The relaxed and informal atmosphere provided the perfect setting for attendees to build new relationships and reconnect with industry peers. Guests enjoyed free-flowing drinks and delicious canapés while engaging in conversation and forging new relationships. A charity raffle further heightened the excitement, offering exciting prizes and contributing to the fundraising efforts. Most importantly, the event raised a remarkable £10,000 in support of Guy’s Cancer Charity.
The afternoon also featured speeches; Robert Taylor, Chair of the AFPA Trust, addressed the crowd and expressed his pride in the event’s success, while Aysha Ellis-Aziz, Deputy Chair and organiser of the event, gave thanks to all the event sponsors and AFPA Trust Charity Partners. A particularly moving highlight was a heartfelt speech from Toby Lock, who shared his inspiring story, adding a special dimension to the afternoon.
“We’re thrilled with the outcome of this year’s Summer Drinks event,” said Robert Taylor, Chair of the AFPA Trust. “Not only did it provide a fantastic platform for industry professionals to connect, but it also allowed us to make a significant contribution to a worthy cause.”
Aysha Ellis-Aziz, Deputy Chair of the AFPA Trust and organiser of the event, added, “I am incredibly proud of the team’s efforts in putting together such a successful event. The turnout and the fundraising total exceeded our expectations. We are incredibly grateful to all our sponsors for their generous support! It was wonderful to see the industry come together for an afternoon of networking and to support Guy’s Cancer Charity.”
The AFPA Trust would like to express its sincere thanks to all the sponsors, attendees, and the team at Guy’s Cancer Charity who contributed to the success of the Summer Drinks Networking event.
